Shop Opening Times:
Rohan Dunster opened its doors in January 2009 on the village edge on Dunster Steep next to the main car park. The shop covers approximately 3000 square feet and is the largest shop Rohan have. Our aim is to provide our customers with a calm, hassle free and pleasant shopping experience. Our team are here to assist, they have an extensive knowledge of the technologies and benefits of Rohan clothing. This shop offers the full range of Rohan garments.
In addition to our full range of current season items, Rohan Dunster is one of only a few stores in the country incorporating a Clearance Department, Rohan clothing at it’s cheapest.
Dunster is a picturesque mediaeval village, situated between the coast of the Bristol Channel and Exmoor. Known as the gateway to Exmoor, Dunster has many reasons to visit, other than just Rohan.
Dunster Castle, run by the National trust, is the most dominant and visible attraction; the oldest parts dating back to the 12th Century. The Castle holds many events throughout the year including Falconry, Sheep Dog displays and bat walks.
In the main street is the Dunster Yarn Market which was built in the 13th Century. If you look carefully you will see the result of cannon fire from the castle caused during the civil war, there is a hole in one of the roof beams.
Dunster railway station is only half a mile away, and is one of the stops on the West Somerset Steam Railway. This line connects the seaside town of Minehead, to Bishops Lydeard, there are many journeys daily, mainly by steam and on occasions diesel trains.
One of the main attractions of Dunster is Exmoor itself. Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on the moor, is only five miles away. Spot Red Deer and Exmoor Ponies on your walks across the hills. (Remember to keep a beady eye out for the famous Beast of Exmoor!).
There are many walks just minutes from the store. The start or finish, depending on which way you are heading, of the South West Coast Path is only a couple of miles away in Minehead.
Dunster shop is next door to the Exmoor Visitor centre which provides information on walking routs and maps; here you can also arrange to take a safari ride across the moors.
Come to Dunster for a weekend break and stay in many of the quaint and beautiful Hotels, Guest Houses and B&B’s and explore the local area. Many hotels serve lunches and afternoon teas as well as evening meals.
Combine a stay at the Luttrell Arms, recently under new management, with good food and the feeling of the country with an open fire and family friendly rooms. Another good place to stay is the Castle Hotel, good food and beautifully modern. The Yarn Market Hotel would be a good choice if you’re looking for a hotel that organises guided walks in the area. For those of you looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion then look no further than Reeves Restaurant in the centre of the village.
There are many tearooms in Dunster, try Locks Tea Rooms, Cobblestones or Tessa’s for tea and scones, coffee and homemade cakes.
Directly outside of Rohan Dunster is the Dunster Lunchbox, run by Cliff Langdon, which sells tea/coffee, sandwiches and pasties, not forgetting Style’s locally made ice-cream for those hot summer days. Here you can buy your lunch and snacks before you go up onto the moor to try out your new Rohan purchases.
How to find us.
If you are entering the village along the A396 from the Wheddon Cross side, follow through the village centre past the Yarn Market, the road turns a sharp right and then about 80 metres on your right is Rohan Dunster. Drive for a further 50 metres and the car park entrance is on your right; which is pay and display. Free parking can some times be found in the village centre next to the Yarn Market, if you are members of the National Trust you can park in the Castle car park for free. (To get to the castle car park continue past the pay and display car park to the traffic lights, turn right and next right over a cattle grid).
If entering the village from the A39, (Minehead to Williton road), directly before going through the traffic lights bear left into the village, then turn left into the main village car park, Rohan Dunster is at the top of the car park, up the steps and to your left.

A Rohan Christmas present for Kevan & Nettie Scott in Exeter
Rohan Exeter NOW OPEN
I am so excited to be opening our latest franchise shop in the Cathedral City of Exeter with Kevan & Nettie.
This has been a 2 ½ year journey during which time we have scoured the South West looking for the best opportunity to improve our franchise coverage in the area and to open a shop with two passionate Rohan fans
Kevan & Nettie have been a passionate Rohanists for over 20 years now and Nettie has spent the last 18 months working as the manager in our Street Shop, so it is fair to say they know pretty much everything there is to know about Rohan and that they share our enthusiasm for the growth of our Brand.
After deciding on Exeter as a great place for a shop we then spent nearly 2 years trying to find a suitable unit. In September this year we were 2 days away from starting a shop fit in Gandy Street when the landlord decided to pull out of the deal leaving is in the lurch. In true Rohan style we quickly bounced back, and shortly after we were lucky enough to be invited to take a unit in the Princesshay Shopping Centre. (Please see the attached map).
What is even more exciting is that we are opening on the 28th December. Now, before you go rushing in expecting a fancy new shop please bear in mind one thing, we actually get the keys on the 24th December at 5.00pm (Yes, Christmas Eve). We will be working late into that evening and then all day on the 27th to get ready to open on the 28th. What that means is, we will be open BUT, we will be messy. We hope to, and intend to, ensure that this all adds to the fun and to the experience.
I will be there on the 27th along with Samantha Wheeler (our Sales Manager) and Lee Philips (Area Manager for the south west) and of course Kevan & Nettie, (and most likely some of their family too), helping to set up. We would all love to see many Rohan fans on the 28th to help welcome our newest franchise owners to the Rohan family and to Exeter.
To help celebrate this opening we would like to offer all visitors to our new shop a further 10% off all items, (including sale items) so please come and see us, welcome Kevan & Nettie to the town and enjoy a few extra £’s off your favourite Rohan bargains.
Have a great Christmas and hopefully see you on the 28th
