The Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival 23rd April to 30th April 2017 is the one of the most significant literary festivals in the UK, attracting thousands of people who share one passion: a love of books, writing and reading.
Celebrating its 10th year in 2017, The Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival is an exciting mixture of debate, ideas, celebrity author events, workshops and humour.

A small taster of the 80 events we ran between 24th April and 1st May 2016 with celebs, best-sellers, workshops, family events and lots of fun!
Highlights of the line up this years include

Andrew Marr – Wed 26th April 2017
The BBC political interviewer and presenter of Radio 4’s Start The Week confronts head-on the victory of shopping over politics in the UK, and how idealism has been defeated throughout history by a British people that knows its own mind.
Nicholas Crane: The Making of Britain- Sat 29th April 2017
Discover the history of the British landscape since the Ice Age with the prize-winning author and co-presenter of Coast. Take a geographical journey through time, change and adaptation, and discover the ancient relationship between people and place and the deep-rooted tensions between town and countryside.
Sir Roy Strong: A Life in Diaries – Sun 23rd April 2017
The best selling author and former director of both the National Portrait Gallery and the Victoria & Albert Museum chats about his fascinating life and passions told through two volumes of diaries.
Stephen Moss  – Sat 29th April 2017
Stephen Moss is a wildlife television producer for the BBC Natural History Unit, with credits including Springwatch, and is passionate about communicating the wonders of the natural world.

Sustrans Marks 20 Years of the National Cycle Network

2015 is a really important year for Sustrans – it marks the 20th anniversary of the National Cycle Network.
We are all invited to celebrate all the people who have helped to create the National Cycle Network, partners; the thousands of volunteers; and the millions of people who love it and use it.

Look out for TV presenter and travel writer Nicholas Crane due to present a BBC Radio 4 Appeal, to raise money for Sustrans and the National Cycle Network. The appeal, due to be aired on Sunday 6 September, coincides with the 20th anniversary of The National Cycle Network.
