Cloudcover waterproof, industry leading lightness 350gm. First use of Primaloft One, advanced insulation. Launch of X-static in underwear. First use of sub 30g ultralight fabric on Icepack Jacket. City Cocoon & City Block town coats with mountain technologies.

Rohan Timeline 2002

Bugbear mesh zip-ons - for insect protection. Very early adoption of Filifine™ and filament CoolMax fabrics. Core fleece with 8 times the windresistance of normal fleece. Interchange™ system allows zipping together of outer and inner garments.

Rohan Timeline 2001

Weatherguard system of protection ratings introduced. Backpackers range launched. First use worldwide of Micromattique fabric. Permanent Water Repellency established first in the market. First use of water-resistant zips with a matt finish anywhere.

Rohan Timeline 2000

On Route Trousers the first technical chinos. Phase Change Material introduced - first of a generation of smart fabrics. One-Pull hood introduced one pull at the back locks the hood onto the circumference of the head. Rohan MiniBaggage range introduced.

Rohan Timeline 1999

Dynamic Moisture Control fabrics launched. First use of Cordura Naturelle worldwide. Microgrid fleece introduced - a distinctive, highly technical fleece fabric. Rohan Baggage unique travel luggage with radical (at the time) features.

T Plus and Polo Plus technical variants of classic garments using our Progressive Density Knit concept. Launch of British Standard for UV Protection. Rohan were a key part of the Standards committee. Universal waterproofs in colours for the Millenium.

Linen-look Synflax fabric launched. Uplanders probably the toughest trekking trousers in the world. Nimbus insulation ultrafine, wadded garments as warm as down but half the bulk. Red and green coding on zips for convertible trousers.

Launch of the Globetrotter Suit. Dry Bags completely waterproof, lined version of Bags. Cooltech range for hot weather. Khombo fleece a radical approach to light fleece. Atlas Mac full length, city waterproof using mountain waterproof fabric.

Sun Protection ratings on summer clothes. Early use of soft but tough technical fibres in Goas range. Khosi fleece a midweight fleece with windproof panels and lots of pockets. Ultratough fabrics on Uplanders and Base Camp Bags.
