September 16th – 19th 2010 Ambleside, The Lake District
the event is the very first Ambleside Outdoor Festival.
Four days packed with events including revolving climb walls, paraponting, adventure lectures, canoe and kayak instruction, Pants Amnesty, The Great Boot Exchange, guided bike tours, bike maintenance clinics, paddle boarding, open water swims, abseiling, rock climbing, gorge scrambling, guided outdoor climbs and walks, guided mountain bike rides, paddle board practice sessions, stretcher lower demonstrations by Ambleside and Langdale Mountain Rescue and orienteering taster sessions for children…. view all events
Competitions taking place over the four days includes uphill road bike time trial, body boarding competition, hill climb time trial, fell race (entry level and advanced), entry level bike rides and more.
Besides all the great outdoor events, there will also be plenty going on under cover, including photographic exhibitions and a film festival to be shown at Zefferellis, along with talks from guest speakers such as mountaineers Sir Chris Bonington and Doug Scott.
A great opportunity to check in at Rohan Ambleside right in the centre of the village and catch up with Craig and the Rohan Ambleside team.
