Well it’s the last weekend of the month and that can mean only one thing….No I’m not going to mention the Farmers Market or you’ll think we’re obsessed with food here in Bakewell!

It is the last weekend that you can use the voucher booklet, so if you’ve got one tucked away somewhere have a look through and see what tempts.

Sunday sees the Secret Gardens of Bakewell open their gates to one and all, a rare treat to see some beautiful gardens tucked away behind stone walls, hedges and fences. On your way back down the hill pop in to see us in store and we’ll show you all the lovely new goodies.

Breaking news! Warm and Waterproof has arrived in Bakewell. Yes you heard me right! Ok the sun may be shining for the next five minutes but winter is definitely approaching and the fantastic new Outpost Jacket has arrived in store.

It has a fully waterproof, breathable, ripstop outer layer combined with a wonderful layer of our insuloft to keep you both warm and dry whether your facing a British winter or an exciting adventure somewhere rather chilly and damp!

Last year saw the Finnic Cardi sell like hot cakes and if the weekend is anything to go by it’ll be a repeat performance this year! With the chill air setting in it is the perfect garment to make you feel warm and cosy. Dress it up dress it down, walk on the hills, meet friends for coffee it will do the job. Even better….it’s so easy to care for! Why not pop in and pick one up before they’re all gone?

    Hello there
My husband and I are travelling in the UK from New Zealand. We have been trying to get him some slim cut travel jeans – we think he is size 32 inches.

We have been to several Rohan shops to no avail (including to Salisbury where we found out that the shop had closed down!)

We will be in the Peak District from 11-14 September. If we come in to the Bakewell shop on the 11th and get him to try some trousers on to find out his size, will we be able to order some jeans and have them arrive in time before we leave to return to NZ on the 14th?

We do not want to order on line as we are not 100% sure about size and the postage costs to NZ are enormous!!

Also I would like a ‘Tourer’ jacket but not in the current colours. Is there any chance of blue or green (or even black) in the new season’s range?
    Kind regards,
    Catherine Lang

Roamers….our best selling women’s trousers. Where have yours been?

The best story that we’ve heard so far here in Rohan Bakewell is the adventurous tale of the lovely Ms Dray who popped in recently. Whilst on holiday in India her tour guide stopped the jeep for a surprise elephant ride. There were no fancy steps or easy ways up. Ms Dray clambered onto the roof of the jeep and up the chains to sit astride her charge. Ms Dray remains ever thankful for her Roamers and their ability to flex and stretch, without them she wouldn’t have made it in one piece!

We’d love to hear your stories, where have your Roamers taken you?

  14. Team Rohan @ Bakewell says:
