Jesus Green leads alongside the river to Midsommer Common with the Boat Houses on the opposite bank but if you walk under the road bridge and a little further you’ll get to Stourbridge Common. Rohan Cambridge was invited by the Cambridge Network to go to a talk given by explorer Justin Miles, it was one of the most driving and inspirational speeches I have ever heard.
Justin Miles is an experienced explorer who had a life threatening car accident, leaving him brain damaged. After an amazing recovery, he decided he would use his expertise in fitness and exploration to educate and inspire young people with disabilities and to support charities such as the Children’s Trust (who support children with brain difficulties).
His next project is going to take him to Greenland this August. He will Paddleboard 100km from the Sermilik Fjord on the East Coast of Greenland past polar bears and killer whales and through some stunning sceneries in a bid to reach the Helheim Glacier.
You can look into Justin’s amazing journey through his website: http://www.justforthechallenge.com
The Mid Season Sale has started on a lovely sunny day!

We’ve had a busy week at the Cambridge store, with lots of new season stock arriving! I think the Cascade Jacket for women will be a big hit; It’s got the length of a Hilltop but the lighter weight material of the Atlas and packs down into its own pocket! Great for the spring/summer season!
Temperature sure has taken a drop these past couple of days. Makes me glad to work in a shop full of warm clothing!
Crossing my fingers for more snow! Anyone else feeling like round 2?
We’ve been getting lots of exciting new season deliveries lately, which are now appearing on the shop floor! The Atlas jackets are definitely one of my favourites. Particularly the women’s one in ‘Green Burst’; a lovely citrus colour which has started to appear in a lot of high street shops recently. If you love the idea of being dry and comfortable as well as fashionable then these are definitely worth a look.
Has anyone seen the feature on Erna Low that’s been on Sky News this week?
It’s actually a feature on a biography that’s been written about her, but the main content of the programe is actually just about her. She was a pioneering travel agent, and was at the forefront of the tourism industry prior to WWI, and after a neccessary break from her work throughout WWII she started promoting skiing holidays in Austria by showing people videos of skiing from the back of a Volkswagon camper van that she’d done up for the purpose of promoting her holidays, which wasn’t a bad idea, as most people in England didn’t actually know what skiing was (or so I’m lead to believe by the program).
She was an adventurer and used to scout locations personally, both for skiing and in other places too, such as morrocco and Tunisia, in a bid to find out what places were like and if they were safe and suitable for her future holiday makers.
Very interesting to see someone in retrospect ‘working out’ how to make holidays work as a business!
To all our customers, happy new year from everyone here at Rohan Cambridge!
Lovely carol singers outside our shop – that’s my kind of seasonal cheer (I love the traditional stuff) anyone had any knocking on your door? We haven’t had any in the shop just yet…
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, almost everywhere you go…
At Rohan Cambridge we ‘Christmas-ify’ the shop slowly, graduating from normal shop to Rohan grotto the week before Christmas. With an excellent selection of seasonal songs (even if we do say so ourselves) joining our playlist shortly, any song suggestions are more than welcome.
Tired of looking for Area 51 with Google Map’s aerial photographs? Think you’ve found it already? Then here’s something more interesting to wile away those idle moments with:
It seems that a group of scientists who are monitoring the health of the world’s reef systems have had a word with those tech-savvy fellas at Google and are undertaking a three year long project to photograph Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. At the end of the project they will be uploading the finished project onto Google’s servers and you’ll be able to take a virtual trip around it at your leisure by simply using Google Map’s ‘Streetview’ function.
So whilst it’s great that any old Joe will be able to look around the reef without putting their bank account under serious strain, I’m sure it still doesn’t come close to travelling there for real and strapping on the scuba gear on diving on in.
Thank you to all those who attended our Chairman’s Evening on Wednesday. It was pleasant to see some of our regular customers and enjoy some of our food and drink with you amongst conversation with Colin, and I’m certain a good evening was had by all.
Of course, do keep an eye on our Rohantime page and Facebook and Twitter accounts to keep up to date with future special events and the latest news and happenings here in Cambridge.
Our Chairman’s evening has begun! Colin is here, our shop is filling with our cherished cutomers and our wine and nibbles are disappearing – huzzah!
We’re open until 8pm, so do come and enjoy the evening with us!
We’ll be having a nice spread for our chairman’s evening, supplied to us by Emerald Foods of Cambridge marketplace.(See the link for a picture of their cosy stall on our chairman’s evening page)
http://rohantime.com/37495/big-night-at-rohan-cambridge/
There will be a wide selection of very interesting dried savoury, fruit and nut produce to choose from, as well as sweets and cakes that have been provided by Cambridge Country Market to tuck into after your savouries. Cambridge Country Markets is a collective of local residents, and is indisputably top quality home made food to be enjoyed at your leisure thoughout the evening.
For all those coming to our chairman’s evening on Wednesday (5th December), we’ll be adding a little festive cheer to the proceedings with a botte of our local Cambridge wine merchant’s Honey Mead.
It’s mead bottled exclusively for Cambridge Wine Merchants and has a lovely golden colour to it, as expected from a fine honey wine. It’s towards the stronger end of the scale, so most likely it’ll be best savoured and enjoyed over a long chat with Colin.
A photograph of the bottle will no doubt be featuring in this evening’s @RohanCambridge Twitter post, so nip along to have a look at it as the colour alone is worth seeing.
And of course for those who may not fancy our honey wine, we’ll also be serving a selection of white and red throughout the evening. Look out for Rohantime, Twitter and Facebook posts about our selections between now and Wednesday.
Struggling with what to give to the Rohanist in your life, who has everything?
What about something from our new Element range, in stores just in time for Christmas?
Choose from the Element Polo, crew neck T shirt and Long Sleeve V neck. or perhaps the 2 new colourways in the classic Wayfarer shirt.
We had two lovely ladies in the shop today to look at our Christmas catalogue. It turns out that one of them was staying at the youth hostel that was used for the catalogue photoshoot whilst it was being shot. Most of the photos in the catalogue were taken in her room! She got a Rohan voucher for her trouble and has her eye on one of the Ridegeway Zip jumpers, which currently have a nice 20% off.
The Men’s Microgrid jackets are back in Cambridge!
I put them out on the shop floor late yesterday and we’ve already started replenishing the stock, so if you were thinking of one for a Christmas present I’d get in quick.
The Christmas lights in Cambridge were turned on on this Saturday just gone, and it was nice to see a good healthy amount of Rohan being worn in the streets to keep people protected from the cold and wet.
Saw a couple of Mountain Guide and Mountain Pass jackets amongst others, and a good few pairs of Rohan cargo trousers in various styles. The star spot I think was probably a fella who was using the conductive pad on the fingertip of his ‘Control’ Weather System gloves, most likely telling everyone via text how fab the lights and show were.
But I still don’t know who that ‘Chico’ bloke was. Was he on X Factor or something? I think the biggest (and no doubt most important) celebrity at the light-switching-on was Father Christmas!
And speaking of ‘celebrities’, Colin Fisher, Rohan’s company chairman, is coming to visit our shop on Wednesday 5th December to host our ‘Meet the Chairman’ evening.
If you’ve got any questions about our range or company, or anything that you wish to say about the aforementioned subjects or would simply like to meet the man in charge, then it’s most definitely worth coming along. We’re going to make a big day of it, and will post here again next week with a few more details about what will be happening on the day and in the evening.
How very interesting (and kind): We’ve just had a chap drop two copies of ‘The Adventurers’ magazine from October ’88 and November ’89 that both contain articles and adverts featuring Rohan.
Aside from these, there are are lot of other very interesting adverts, articles and features that we’ll be looking at in more detail on facebook and twitter in the next few months, so do keep an eye out for them at:
Twitter: @RohanCambridge
Facebook: (Search) Rohan Cambridge
I was watching this week’s episode of Fresh Meat (Channel 4) and I swear I saw Jack Whitehall’s character, J.P. wearing a pair of Graphite Trailblazers.
The troubling genius of our clothes is that we have such subtle branding, that they look like ‘normal’ garments.
I agree about the difficulty in picking our stuff out. It’s difficult enough when you see people in real life but it’s very difficult on TV.
I’ve just been catching up with the Michael Palin – “Brazil” show and i’m sure he was wearing our stuff but it’s so hard to be sure.
Pretty sure I saw him in our Correspondent and Equator shirts.
PS Michael Palin’s signing copies of “Brazil” at Heffers in Cambridge on the 20th – literally just down the road from us.
I’ve just been checking out ‘what’s on’ in the new Wanderlust magazine. The Harbin Ice and Snow festival in China looks fantastic! Lifesize ice sculptures of temples, people and creatures are lit up my multi-coloured LED lights at night; you can ice skate around (and in some cases through) the sculptures and if you visit at the end of the festival you can help smash them up with ice picks! The festival runs from the 5th of January to the 28th of February and is kicked off with a spectacular fireworks display.
Yet another good reason to visit the Cambridge University Botanical Gardens – not only a beautiful place right in the centre of town, not only the best kept secret in Cambridge but now their new “Sainsburys Laboratory” has won the Stirling Prize for Architecture.
I think this is the second time in 3 or 4 years that a Cambridge building has won this prestigeous prize.
We’ve just added some songs by the Monkees to the music we play in the shop.
I’d forgotten how good a drummer Micky Dolenz was and I’m really impressed by the breadth of stuff they did.
There are the obvious tracks (and a number of those that I’d forgotten were by the Monkees) but we were a little surprised by songs like Goin’ Down and Listen to the Band.
Just read some interesting news in the latest issue of Wanderlust.
Apparently, due to vibrations from nearby traffic routes over recent years the Colosseum in Rome is slanting 40 degrees lower on the South side than the North. Starting in December this year, scaffolding will be put up for three years whilst repair work ensues.
Hopefully it won’t be necessary to completely surround the whole structure, and at least a side or section will be on view at any given time, as it’d be such a shame to travel to Rome and miss out completely on the most iconic sight in the city. I don’t know if people will be able to tour the Colosseum during this time, but at a guess I’d have to say that I think it’s probably unlikely anyone will be allowed inside whilst restoration is occurring due to necessary health and safety law. Nonetheless, for anyone planning on visiting in the next few years, it’d certainly be worth researching before you go to avoid possible disappointment ahead of time.
I’ve just been saying to Mike, on the plus side they’ll probably spend a bit of time cleaning the Colosseum up a bit while they’ve got it scaffolded up. So it’ll probably look great when they finally expose it again.
They’ve just finished the Divinity Building on the end of Trinity Street and i have to say it looks pretty spectacular. I reckon it’s been under scaffolding or boards for most of the time i’ve lived in Cambridge
Had a trip to the zoo at the weekend, or to be more precise, the wildlife park. It’s in Shepreth, which isn’t far outside of Cambridge. Considering it’s only a small place they have a large variety of animal species there, from several types of big cats to tropical lizards to exotic insects, wallabies, and everything else inbetween, and all the enclosures are of a good size for the animals too.
They also have a couple of more peculiar displays, one of which is the walk-through bat enclosure. It’s a very strange thing to walk into the dark tunnel and have inquistive bats swooping past and around you, and if you’ve got good hearing, you can just about make out a sort of clicking sound, which is the bats sensing their physical surroundings using high-frequency soundwaves and echoes.
Under construction at the moment is the Hedgehog Hospital. For a long time Shepreth have been nursing hedgehogs back to health that have suffered badly during the winter months and from other situations, and recently, due to the construction of the new building, have been asking for local volunteers to nurse ‘hogs at home whilst they finish the work. If you live nearby and can spare a little milk and a saucer at home for a hungry ‘hog, then do give them a call. (Shepreth Wildlife Park: 01763 262226, choose option 3 to discuss hedghogs)
Naturally it has the family favourites too, including Shetland Ponies, a Bunny Farm, Meerkats, and cutest of all, resident Otters Teko and Darma! If you hear the sound of pitiful whining and a forlorn racket near the big cats, you’ll know for sure that the Otters are waiting for their lunch!
It’s getting into the colder months now, so make sure you take your Rohan with you and wrap up warm, and take your waterproof just incase, as a quick dash back to the car park to get it is very easy to do. Or clasp a cup of tea in the cafe to get some feeling back into your fingers before going back out to see the other animals when the rain’s died off.
It’s a great afternoon out, and I’d recommend it to anyone. And don’t forget, if you live nearby, there’s probably a sick hedgehog that needs a bit of care and attention to get him back on his feet again, and you could be just the person to do it!
We just had a lovely lady in who is preparing for a sponsered climb of Mount Everest! She’ll be raising money for children with cancer, through the local Addenbrooks hospital. We wish her (and her new Rohan Striders) the best of luck and a safe climb in February!
I just offered a lady (who came from Kendal) one of our free mintcakes. Turns out she used to work in the Romney mintcake factory!
I’ve lived in Cambridge for four years now, but the other day I made my first visit to the Folk Museum at the bottom of Castle Hill. It’s a great, quirky little museum filled with a range of fascinating objects from vintage toys and dollshouses in the nursery on the top floor, to a bizarre metal contraption in the kitchen that was designed to peel and core apples but looks more like an ancient torture device! It’s a great place to kill a few hours and my friend and I spent some time drawing oddities there in perfect peace and quiet.
If you’re in Cambridge I would definitely recommend a visit. They have a great selection of beautiful wrapping paper, notebooks and old fashioned sweets in the gift shop too.
I was watching a fascinating documentary, the other day, about a small community of chimps that are isolated in a forested gorge in Uganda when my friend Jamie (who is an ecologist) walked in and said “I’ve seen those very chimps whilst on a trip to Africa!” Small world eh!
Checking in after my little weekend break in Holland. I’m pleased to say that I had a fantastic time seeing the sights of Arnhem and Amsterdam (but not *those* sights) and walking along the Rhine, and the Dutch people were more than pleasant when giving directions, which certainly happened often.
A very relaxed place and fantastic people, and I’d certainly recommend going for a visit.
Spent a couple of weeks cycling from IJmuiden to Den Haag and back (with lots of breaks!) with the family (visiting the Dutch half of the family as we went) back in July. Obviously not a destination for mountaineering or remote wilderness but plenty to see and do outside and in. And the Superfine Merino did indeed prove remarakbaly pong-free!
Spent a couple of weeks again this August down in Domburg, in Walcheren, the bottom most island next to Belgium. Wonderful place, on the beach, out on the bikes, visiting the markets. Wearing old Rohan Gobi shorts twinned with new Pacific s/s and Waypoint l/s shirts. Visited the Scottish houses in Veere, old merchant houses from the trade routes with Fife, strange to see a Scottish flag flying in a Dutch town. Would definitely recommend the Netherlands as a destination Mike, so relaxed and laid back, i love it. great family area as well, trip to Efteling theme park a must.
We just had a nice customer in who’s organizing and entering a classic car tour the length of South America.
They start off in Columbia and spend 2 months driving down to the southern tip of Argentina.
He’s taking an Austin Healy but there’s everything on the trip from a 1953 Bently to a 1974 Escort.
He picked up a couple of our smarter technical shirts (Correspondent and Worldview) to compliment his Expedition Shirts and also took some new baselyer and socks.
Sound’s like a great trip and we’ll be keeping in touch with it through thier Website http://www.globalrally.org.uk
Phew, that was close. A team of Firemen just went past the store pulling a Fire Engine & raising money for Save the Children. Very impressive!
But then, a few minutes later a huge hen party came past in the other direction! If those 2 groups had collided it could’ve been tricky, like a low budget Lynx advert.
It’s been a busy couple of days here at Rohan in Cambridge. The new Autumn/Winter stock has been coming in for the last couple of months and Jay and Mike decided it was time for some rearranging! A good full day of moving and musing and our shop is looking bright and colourful and ready for Autumn. Come by and see the new range of colours and styles in all it’s glory!
Had a fella in the shop today who bought some Rohan On Routes for a bit of general purpose wear.
(See our sales website for details about On Routes: http://www.rohan.co.uk/Product/Detail/MensTrousers_03518?ocode=03518550 )
After a bit of a natter about Rohan’s trousers, he told me why he was buying a new pair: He’s having a clearout.
He’s decided to empty his wardrobe of his (based on recent count) SEVENTY pairs of trousers, keep a few of the best/favourites, and replace the rest with some real good quality and long-lasting Rohan.
This in itself is a great compliment to Rohan; but wouldn’t it be such a shame if all those trousers got thrown out and wasted?
Before letting him go on his way to send them all to the dump or charity shop, we discussed Rohan’s ‘Porter Protection Scheme’ and (the independant) ‘Recycle Outdoor Gear’ organisation’s aims, so hopefully either one or both of these schemes will soon be well stocked with some highly desirable size 36 walking trousers for reuse in the future.
Really excited about a trip I’ve just booked:
Going over to Holland for a weekend at the end of the month for a bit of sightseeing in Amsterdam.
Will also buy myself a ‘weekendretour’ train ticket and nip up to Arnhem, where the United States Drag Racing Association are taking over the local football stadium for the entire weekend to host a leg of the European tour of ‘Monster Jam’!
For those that haven’t heard of this primarily America-based motorsport, it’s where full-sized monster trucks compete in racing and stunt events for the yearly Monster Jam championship title.
My girlfriend and I are flying with Easyjet, so have taken the cheapskate option of not paying for hold luggage space, and will consequently be easily and happily making do with a single piece of carry-on luggage between us: primarily due to the small packing sizes of Rohan clothing – hooray!
Just a reminder to everyone who’s been given one of our exclusive offers and vouchers booklets recently; the vouchers in the booklet expire as of the 3rd September, so this weekend (or before) is really your last chance to put them towards any Rohan kit that you may have been pondering over recently.
If you don’t have anything specific in mind already, bear in mind that there’s a ’10% off new season products’ voucher, and our shop is now full to the brim with new season products!
So it’s a great time to come and view our new range and use up those vouchers before they expire.
It seems like summer is drawing to a close, and as the last of the migratory birds fly off to Africa it’s a great time to catch a spot of wildlife-watching while we still have some warm (ish!) weather.
Cambridgeshire possesses some spectacular nature reserves such as Wicken Fen, home to an extraordinary abundance of marshland plants and animals, which is set to expand all the way from its historical location all the way up to Cambridge itself.
We’ve had some pretty “changeable” weather to say the least, with bright sunshine one moment and then heavy downpours the next.
These conditions create the need for pretty flexible clothing!
Wicken Fen are on Twitter as @WickenFenNT
Had a look at ‘The Search for Immortality’ exhibition over in Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum the other day, partly out of curiosity and partly to keep myself out of the rain, and was very impressed by some of the artifacts on display.
The clay sculptures of the court dancers and soldiers were particularly interesting, as the ancient Chinese had similar ideas about taking possessions into the afterlife with them as the ancient Egyptians did, and naturally other displays featured items of necessity and entertainment, such as cooking pots and musical instruments.
Perhaps the most spectacular display was the pair of burial suits, for adorning the body within the coffin itself. They were made of hundreds of jade tiles with small holes in each corner for stitching them together, and covered the body in its entirety from head to toe in order to prevent demons in the afterlife from invading and possessing it.
Now, whilst you may very well fancy the idea of taking your favourite Rohan jacket into your own afterlife with you, I must point out that protection from incorporeal demons has yet to be incorporated into our clothing designs, at least at this point in time…
Apparently we have two film crews in Cambridge today! I just sold a Microgrid Jacket to a woman who is the producer for an adaption of William Boyd’s ‘Restless.’ They’re filming just down the street so I may have to go take a look once we’re closed up!
Three gentlemen just came by to look at the Envoy suits and the Globetrotter Mac. They had an impressive looking video camera and it turns out they were in Cambridge shooting a documentary on the founding of 12 football clubs; one of which was started up by a Cambridge graduate.
We’ve had an interesting range of customers in this week. I’ve spoken to an Anthropologist who needed comfy, flexible gear for work on-site on a Greek Island, a Geologist in need of a practical, tough waterproof for the varied weather in Iceland and a Chemical Engineer working on coal plant design for China…who just wanted a decent cycling polo! Just goes to show that Rohan really does work well for everyone, anywhere and any weather!
Just been having a chat with a fella about some old Rohan Bags of his that he’s long since outgrown. Was a 32″ waist back when he bought them, and is now shopping for 36″ waist trousers; suggests a well-enjoyed lifestyle in my opinion!
After discussing the merits of ROGads (Recycle Outdoor Gear adverts & @ROGads on Twitter) I also informed him about Rohan’s ‘IPPS’, which stands for ‘International Porter Protection Scheme’.
The basic outline of the scheme is that we send used but serviceable Rohan clothing out to Nepal to be used by the porters there whilst they’re assisting climbers. Most of the time they’re not acclimatised climbers, but local people looking for seasonal work, and more often than not, without any proper climbing clothing or kit.
For more detail, follow this link to read our Brand Director’s thoughts on the matter, based on his personal experience visting porters in Nepal:
http://rohantime.com/4568/rohan-porters-progress/
As far as the outcome of our conversation is concerned, we reached an agreement that donating your useful old Rohan clothing to these porters was a far more worthwhile way of emptying the wardrobe to make way for your new Rohan than sending them to the charity shop or using ROGads.
The porters are able to benefit from using some top quality outdoor gear, and you get to enjoy knowing that your well-loved Rohan is enjoying a second, active life in Nepal!
We also donate sunglasses as part of the scheme to prevent snowblindness, and for more detail see:
http://rohantime.com/18626/supporting-porters-progress/
Hi Mike
Great that people are talking about reuse of outdoor gear. The more the better.
ROG would be really happy if all outdoor gear could go to help all porters worldwide. But the sad fact is it can’t. So what happens to lots and lots of really serviceable outdoor gear that is no longer needed? Some textile based gear goes into the charity bins. Which is good but by no means all.
Reuse options have to expand to include a much wider choice of donation and reuse opportunities. That is ROG’s mission.
ROG is not a buy sell platform that’s called EBay.
We already have a swap facility which is great and a wanted option. Next a much more direct and transparent donation option. What this space. If ROG succeeds, with the support of the outdoor community, all redundant gear will have a second/third/forth life and hopefully loads more people can experience the joy of great outdoor gear in the great outdoors.
That’s the mission Sarah – http://recycleoutdoorgear,.com
We had a dragonfly in our shop yesterday. In the centre of Cambridge a 9cm dragonfly flew into the shop and sat in the window for an hour.
He was beautiful and i was worried about how i was going to help him out of the door without hurting him but in the end I offered him a piece of paper, he hopped aboard and I walked him to the door. Fantastic! (there are pictures on our Facebook page.
Peter Gost (@petegost) called in this morning on his way through Cambridge. He’s just back from 3 years cycling from the UK to South Africa and is having a little pootle up to Norfolk on his bike this week. Oh, and he was wearing his trailblazer convertibles too.
Really nice and interesting guy, a remarkable achievement and he’s raising money to combat malaria in Africa.
Well worth a visit to his website http://www.thebigafricacycle.com
Great way to start a day at work!
Peter Gost cycled from Japan to the UK and from the UK to South Africa. He’s home now and cycling to Norwich this week. If anyone has a biggish garden near Cambridge in which he could camp please contact him on Twitter @Petegost
We posted our 1000th ‘Tweet’ yesterday. We wanted to make it about a great expedition or a fantastic charity and with Phil Packer OBE’s 2012 mile walk to benefit the Brti Center fitted the bill perfectly
This week is the last week to catch the first round of performances at Cambridge Shakespeare Festival. The Tempest at Girton College Gardens looks like the pick of the bunch to me.
There’s new stuff arriving all the time now. This week it was our new insuloftTM warmth layers – the IcePack and the Dale Jacket. War, stylish and lightweight – in fact very, very Rohan.
I love the random nature of the playlist we have in the shop. We’ve just had a Bach Fugue followed by Puckwudgie bu Charlie Drake!
I’m currently reading a fascinating 25-page special article on Mayan Central America (its history, ancient ruins and culture) in this month’s Wanderlust magazine. Pop in the shop if you fancy a copy – well worth a read…
Just had a couple in who are heading to Svalbard. I’d always thought you needed a permit or something to go there but apparently it’s just a normal commercial airport.
They bought a couple of pairs of winter trousers and that’s why I enjoy working in shops that hold stock for all climates all year. It’s alway cold somewhere in the world and i much prefer heading to places where the weather contrasts with the season at home. Makes it seem more of an adventure somehow.
We just had a customer in to buy a spare pair of Envoy Trousers for his Envoy Suit. We realized that in the promo (until Sunday 29th April) he could get the trousers, have them tailored to his leg length AND posted out to him and still pay £15 less than the full price!
Did you know that…? ( Read on…)
Come and check out our Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages, we’ve just put up some new photos and ‘following’ us on these sites is a good way to keep up to date with the latest goings ons, especially if you’re one of our local customers.
You would know for example, that our Moulton bicycle has been put back into our window today with our Rider Range is only on display until tomorrow afternoon for you to come and see… See how useful it is to be ‘in the know’ about Rohan Cambridge?
This’ll make people stop and pay attention:
The Moulton bicycle in our window (accompanying our Rider window) is certainly attracting its share of attention from the public.
The bike is called the ‘Moulton 60′ and it’s a limited edition manufacture produced specially to celebrate the company founder’s 92nd birthday. It’s been produced in an extremely limited run, so anyone wanting one should hurry along and get in touch with Moulton directly as ours is strictly a display model.
However, people can also hurry into our shop to pick up their new Elite Stormer jacket, Outrider Shorts and Bumper to accompany their new Moulton purchase, or indeed their current bicycle. As good as a Moulton bicycle is, the comfort of riding it will greatly be improved still by wearing Rohan’s Rider range whilst out and about.
Yep- she’s a beauty. Precision engineering at its finest. I’d love to take our shop-window model for a spin – shame it’s strictly a display model. However if you’re interested in these lovely Moulton bicycles, pop in for a peek!
The new Rohan Rider cycling range is in store now. It includes both waterproof and windproof lightweight jackets, leggings for the ladies and shorts for the men. Also some nifty cycle polos (mens) and jerseys (womens), and some very ergonomic “bumper” pads to make saddles more comfortable.
I have my eye on one of our new Elite Stormer Jackets- attractive, highly visible, waterproof and VERY light (only 280g!)
