Rohan Chelmsford is located in the pedestrianised area of Springfield Road, just off of the High Street, in a parade of shops that runs parallel to the River Chelmer. Just opposite us is a large Argos store which is very easy to find- find them and you will find us!
Parking is readily available, with Tesco being the closest. Unfortunately due to a change in their restrictions you can no longer park there for 2 hours free of charge, parking in Tesco is now subject to an in-store purchase of £3.00 or more….there are many other car parks in and around…
Chelmsford officially became a city on 6th June 2012 and is the County Town of Essex, it has a rich heritage and is the perfect place to spend a long weekend or use as a base to explore Essex. We are only 30 miles from London and boast first class sporting, leisure and arts facilities.
Chelmsford is a great place for shopping, we have a market that has been trading since 1199 and it has been bringing people to our city ever since. As well as our market you will see lots of familiar high street names and a vast array of independent retailers. You will also find a large selection of cafes, restaurants and bars- Something for everyone!
Our city is home to ‘Essex Street Diversions’ East Anglia’s largest festival of street theatre that takes place every year. This is a FREE event, it started in 2002 and since then has presented over 550 live performances to the people of Essex. Chelmsford also plays host to the ’3 Foot People’ festival which is the UK’s only 4 day festival exclusively for under 5 year olds, a great day out for the family.
If you are looking for a quieter day out you can take advantage of the beautiful green spaces surrounding Chelmsford, there are plenty of walks and places to visit just a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Situated a few doors away from us is ‘Small Talk Tearooms’ a family run business providing fresh seasonal food sourced as locally as possible and also specialising in an extensive range of loose tea from all over the world, it is a great place to grab a cup of tea and a slice of cake and enjoy the quaint surroundings.
We are right next door to a ‘Mr Simms Olde Sweetshoppe’ for a trip down memory lane why not pop in there for some cough candy, sherbet lemons, humbugs and bon bons…. or maybe some flying saucers? We can also recommend a trip to Chelmsford Museum and Hylands Park home to V festival with lovely grounds and seasonal events.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
