Bradt have launched new competition for unpublished travel writers

Bradt Travel Guides have run an annual travel writing competition for over two decades. Now they are teaming up with the Edward Stanford Travel Writing awards to launch a revamped competition searching for  ‘New Travel Writer of the Year’.

Open only to unpublished writers. The prize includes a safari holiday for two to Uganda (worth £6000), a paid commission to write about the trip for the Bradt website, a place on the annual Bradt Travel-Writing Seminar, and an antique globe trophy presented at a glittering awards ceremony. Two runners up will also receive a place on the Seminar. The competition is open to anyone over 18, from anywhere in the world, provided they have not previously received payment for their travel writing.

The deadline for submission is midnight on the 2nd of January 2017.
