Rohan has had a presence in the city for many years, but it was in July 2005 the Rohan store opened on the Back Wynd, right next to the skyline imposing St Nicholas Kirk.

Aberdeen, Europe’s oil capital has a vibrant retail scene and is competing for the city of culture 2017 award. With the Art gallery, His Majesty’s theatre, Maritime Museum, Union Terrace Gardens and an award winning beach all a stones throw away you will find there is lots to enjoy in our ‘Granite City’

Directions to our Shop – On foot, from Bon Accord centre, cross at the St Nicholas centre and turn right. Walk 200 metres up the hill and turn left after the St Nicholas church onto Back Wynd. We are next to Subway.

From Union Street, (Mall Trinity). Cross at the lights outside the Mall trinity, walk down Belmont Street, take second right on to Little Belmont street (past the Old School House) then first left onto Back Wynd.

By car, same as above Nearest car park is Harriet Street at The Bon Accord Centre. Also Loch Street at the Bon Accord Centre., The Mall Trinity and  The Denburn.
All First buses at some point will cross or travel through, Union Street/Bridge Street/Union Terrace. You can see St Nicholas church from all of these points. We are next to this.

Staff Recommendations –  Lots of great sandwich/coffee shops within a 5 minute walk of our store, from the main shopping areas to the more laid back, trendy Belmont street. A particular favourite is Books and Beans on Belmont Street where you can have a coffee and a fine piece over your morning newspaper, inside or out enjoying the unique Aberdeen – four seasons in one day – climate! Also a couple of great bars on Belmont street, are Revolution and Slains Castle (old Gothic-looking church), where you can enjoy a tasty bar meal and something stronger than a coffee to help you through your busy day!

Local Knowledge – Aberdeen, The Ganite City is Europe’s oil capital. It has a great vibrant retail scene and the fantastic Union Street which runs right through the middle of the city centre. Union Terrace Gardens is one of the few green spaces you will find in a city of this size in the UK and a great place to unwind come summertime.
Aberdeen beach is a lovely day out with lots to do for all the family.
Royal Deeside is a 30 minute drive away with the Cairngorm Mountain range just beyond.
Aberdeenshire is called Castle Country for a reason. Head in any direction and one should appear on the horizon within a few miles!
In the city centre there’s the Art Gallery, His Majesty’s Theatre and the Maritime Museum all within a short stroll.

With the weather on the change to bitterly cold mornings/nights, maybe now you will be turning your thoughts to warm, insulated jackets! We have a fine selection in store, ranging from our Icepack range to our Downtown range which, as the name suggests is our range of Down products, which now have HydraDown. Basically your super warm down jacket is coated in a Hydrophobic finish so you can stay dry as well as warm! Pop in past to try for yourself!

Had a lovely visit on Tuesday to Cults Academy on the outskirts of Aberdeen, to present 2 boxes of Gift Your Gear generously donated by the customers at Rohan Aberdeen. Your fantastic donations have ensured the pupils of the academy can enjoy the stunning Royal Deeside countryside, safe in the knowledge they are protected from the elements!!
