We are sorry to announce that after almost three years Alex is leaving us to join the real world!

alexAlex joined our Preston store whilst studying at University in Preston and eventually worked between our Southport and Preston shops. During his time with us we received many complimentary comments from customers regarding his product knowledge and his excellent customer service skills.

Alex graduated from university last year with a degree in Police and Criminal Investigation and has secured a full time position in the financial industry.

We have attached a photograph following his graduation, we think that you will agree he scrubs up well! Alex would be the first to admit that he is more comfortable in his Trailblazers, Element T and a Microgrid Zip.

We would like to thank him for his help and support and wish him well for the future.

Directions to our shop: The main road into Southport is the A565 and is easily accessed from the M6 & M58. Lord Street is well sign posted and ample parking is available in the town centre along with an excellent Park and Ride system which again is well sign posted.

Phil & Jennifer Whittaker opened the Southport store in 2003. Daughter Lisa now manages the store and is aided and abetted by mum, Jennifer.

The Rohan shop is located in what can only be described as one of the finest examples of a Victorian Arcade in the UK. To step into the Wayfarers Arcade is to discover a unique experience that sets it apart from so many precincts and shopping centres. The impressive features provide a charming environment in which customers can explore the intriguing collection of specialist shops.

The Grade II Listed Arcade still maintains its position at the heart of Southport as an integral part of the town’s Victorian heritage. The Wayfarers Arcade is situated off Lord Street, the famous tree lined boulevard which is Southport’s unique retail centre and one of the many attractions for visitors.

Southport attracts over five million visitors per annum. This is partly due to traditional annual events, most notably the Flower Show which has a national profile. Southport regularly plays host to the Open Golf Championship at it’s Royal Birkdale Golf Club. In an area rich in golf courses, many of which have championship status, the sport is taken very seriously. Southport also has an RSPB site that attracts birds to the wetlands and is approximately 2 miles from the town centre. Martin Mere Nature Reserve is located within 10 miles of the town and besides attracting many migratory birds also have Otters and Beavers. Southport visitor information and  special events.

  1. Southport Flower Show 2017

The show runs from Thursday 17th August-Sunday 19th August 2017

Southport Flower Show is the largest independent flower show in the country and is set to be bigger and better than ever before, attracting more than 50,000 visitors a year. In addition to the stunning show gardens and displays, created by some of the best landscapers and designers in the country there is a dedicated food festival with displays from celebrity chefs, fine dining marquees and a shopping village with over 350 stalls.

This year’s theme The Curious Garden is inspired by a sense of mystery, wonder and curiosity. Find your way through the foliage to reveal the strange and delightful secrets of the British garden. Through a twist, a turn and a secret door – what will you discover?
There is entertainment such as stunt bikes, sand artists, music and children’s activities. The Food Festival has live cooking demonstrations in the cookery theatre and then head over to the gourmet producers to buy and sample products.
The interactive zone offers a Minecraft experience plus there is a chance to meet YouTubers as they compete to build the best Minecraft garden.
Justin Fletcher, who stars as Mr. Tumble in Something Special (and features as himself on Justin’s House), will headline the kid’s entertainment on Saturday 19th August!
The show gardens are the biggest feature of the Southport Flower Show. Constructed by garden designers in less than 2 weeks the inspiration is based on the theme of the show and this year the exhibitors go head to head to create the most Curious Garden to impress judges.
