Keswick Wins Dog Friendly Town Award

Congratulations Keswick on winning the dog friendly town award.

The winners of the Be Dog Friendly Awards were presented with their awards at the Kennel Club’s Eukanuba Discover Dogs event at ExCeL London on Saturday 17th October.

Be Dog Friendly, supported by Dog Friendly, is a campaign run by the Kennel Club which aims to reward and encourage businesses and public places across the UK to adopt a dog friendly attitude towards the nation’s 8 million dogs.

Christeen – Rohan Keswick told Rohantime the bowl just outside the door is a popular refreshment stop. She has also shared some  lovely photos of some super visitors to the shop on Lake Rd.  If you are planning a visit with your best friend please add a photo in the comments below.

Keswick received 36 per cent of nominations in the category in this year’s awards, and the Lake District received 17 per cent, firmly placing them both as the nation’s favourite spots for dogs and their owners. The competition, held in association with Dog Friendly, is based solely on public vote.

Do you have a favourite town, village or even city in the UK that recognises the needs of both visitor and their dogs?
