The serene and tranquil Ullswater valley offers fantastic walking opportunities – from gentle lakeshore strolls to challenging airy high fell hikes. 20 fabulous walks and  special offer Steamer walks. Ullswater Steamers are offering you the chance to experience one of our wonderful steamer walks with a fantastic festival boat fare of just £1 – only available on these festival walks!

A Two Dales Round takes you along the shores of Ullswater, then up secluded Fusedale and down historic Martindale. You’ll return by boat to Pooley Bridge.

Or cruise to Howtown then walk up Martindale to Angle Tarn by Heck Crag. We also cruise to Howtown,on the Pikeawassa and High Street walk, visiting remote Pikeawassa and Wether Hill, returning along the old Roman Road.

For a good chance of spotting red deer, Steamer, Dale and Fell starts with a cruise to Howtown then a walk over Beda Fell to view the ancient deer forest of Bannerdale.
