Parking – is available around the Village Greens alongside the shop and also in the pub car park if you fancy a spot of lunch.
Directions to shop – Our shop is situated on the A65 and is easily accessed by car. The Morcambe/Carlisle to Leeds train stops in the village a few times a day and the shop is a scenic 5 minute walk from the train station. The local bus service is Craven Connections, check on line as bus times change seasonally and in school holidays.
Rohan Long Preston Opened in 1983. The building is a two storey converted barn made from Yorkshire stone which used to be a barn for the auction mart which was held on the May Pole green opposite in the late 1800’s early 1900’s.
This was the first Rohan shop to open and also holds a clearance section as well as full price.
Staff Recommendations – We have two pubs in the village Boarshead hotel open 7 days a week form 12pm serve food all day, Maypole Inn open Weds – Sun from 12.
The Post office no longer has a T-room but does offer a take-away sandwich service.
Coniston Hall, Coniston approx 9 miles form the village towards Skipton, the Falcon Mannor Hotel, Settle, 5 miles from the village, or Listers Arms at Malham, approx 5 miles form the village for something a little bit more special.
Nearest public conveniences are Hellifield train station which also has the famous Firemans Breakfast of Settle where you can visit the Naked Man for a nice cake and a brew.
Local Knowledge – Long Preston is a small scenic village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
There are several walks varying in distance in and around the village which staff members will be happy to give directions for.
