Rohan Shop Harrogate

Welcome to Rohan Harrogate from Manager Saul Ward, Marie, John, Rob, Kim and Pip.
Opening Times: Monday-Saturday 9.30-5.30 Sunday 11.00-4.00.
Phone: 01423 508766
Directions to our shop: The Harrogate train runs between York and Leeds with services every hour. Bus services run frequently from local townships and cities as well. Ripon, Skipton, Northallerton and The Dales are not too far away, so whether you are visiting Harrogate or coming through specifically to see what we have in our shop, it’s easy to get through.
Our shop was opened in 2005 and is a converted three storey Victorian town house, directly opposite the train station and next door to the Victoria shopping centre. It is constructed from local Yorkshire stone and has a wonderful wrought iron canopy. The front of the building retains period iron framed windows and the overall effect is of a building that has retained its original charm.
We have a rolling exhibition of local photographers’ work around the shop including some very nice local shots by Robert Swindells and a selection of travel photographs by Sam Oakes.
The Nearest Parking – Victoria Multi Storey Car Park which is linked to the Victoria Shopping Centre by a bridge, it only costs £1.10 per hour.
Staff Recommendations – For a sandwich we have Bib and Tucker who make the best cheese salad ciabatta this side of Knaresborough just on the Square. Bettys is a popular destination for a bit of posh nosh. For those of you who are spending the evening in Harrogate The Old Bell on Royal Parade has to be the prime choice for a wide range of real ales and some decent pub grub.
Local Knowledge – Harrogate is one of Yorkshire’s most beautiful towns to visit. Often people combine their visit to Rohan with a relaxing spa session in the Royal Baths or a trip to RHS Harlow Carr which is only a 45 minute walk from the store through the beautiful valley gardens.
No visit to Harrogate is complete without a visit to Bettys Tea Rooms where you can enjoy a cup of tea in very smart surroundings with a nice fat rascal (it’s a cake).
We are also home to the Harrogate International Centre which hosts some of the biggest events in the country and was the home of many a story from the early years of Rohan. It makes a great day out for any holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.

Harrogate was the first Rohan store I visited. It was recommended to me by an ex-employee. I spent quite a lot of time browsing, but only bought a pair of knickers on that occasion. Since then my Rohan collection has grow somewhat!! I particularly love my jeans and pathway pullover which I’ve worn all winter. I also have a selection of tops and shirts. It is now really easy to choose what to pack whenever I go away – be it a day’s sightseeing, or a week in the country – its always ROHAN!
I live on the Wirral but frequently visit Harrogate to visit my daughter. However my passion is shopping at the Rohan shop. I just love it. My husband and I get all our gear from this shop. We recently vistied Egypt and we bought lots of gear. The shirts we both bought washed out overnight. The staff are wonderful, very friendly, knowlegeable and generally very helpful. the ambience in the shop is just super even to the snake and spider. I bet you can’t believe i am saying all this Saul! I think the shop is in a very good location. Every success to you.
Harrogate is my home town, I am now in the USA so shop online to augment my Rohan wardrobe. Long Preston was the 1st store I bought from back in the 70s and I try to stop by when I am back in the UK. Rohan clothing is great, very wearable and durable, it is great to see the line doing so well
