Rohan Keswick – Peter Habeler Is Coming To Town

We are very happy to welcome two new additions to the unique Rohan Originals Collection at Rohan Keswick

The new arrivals are very special because they represent early Rohan design and innovation.

The Rohan Windlord Jacket. Designed for and used on the high mountains.

A Windlord Jacket was worn by Peter Habeler on the 1978 Everest Expedition. Peter Habeler and Reinhold Messner reached the summit of Mount Everest, the first climbers to do so without the use of supplemental oxygen.

The really good news is Peter will be at the Keswick Mountain Festival. Peter is a guest speaker at the festival. A date for the diary Peter Habeler hosted by the Austrian Tirol – Friday 16th May, 17.15. Ben and the Rohan Keswick team will be there and are really looking forward to it.

Of added interest is the Rohan Alpine Walking Week this year based in Mayrhofen, Zillertal, Austria, Peters home town. His Windlord jacket was spotted in the window of his shop in the town. Read more…

It is fortuitous that the other addition to the Rohan Originals collection is a lovely example of one the very first Rohan Salopettes.

Salopettes just like this started it all…
