Walking the pup past the now famous (or is it infamous) Lock-keepers Inn, on the banks of the River Lagan. Raid eVent shoes, cool & temperate socks, uplanders, T-plus, Viewpoint Fleece, Mountain Pass jacket, weather system cold gloves, and my only non-Rohan – a furry “Mad Bomber’ hat.

Walking the dog in Aberdeenshire last night (-14 C).

Nightfall jacket, Kombi top (reversed), Core long sleeved zip, Fusion trousers and merino top and leggings (non Rohan).

Nightfall is excellent – warm and snug throughout.

Dog walking in Staffordshire:

Merino top and leggings, (non Rohan) poloneck jumper, Ursula fleece jacket and hat, non Rohan waterproof, Striders, Rohan cool+cold socks, walking boots, sheepskin gloves with silk lining gloves.

Just outside Milton Keynes in the big Buckinghamshire Freeze Up…
Rohan Travel Jeans – warmer than normal jeans although thinner!
Great with merino leggings when it hit -5 degrees, but that was an indulgence.
T Plus. LS is brilliant, but SS does the job.
Kombi Top. My new favourite mid/outer layer.
Cityscape and Inner Flame – as worn by Sarah – the best ever.
Weather System Control gloves.
A merino hat (not Rohan, sorry – we’d like to do one of these).

Off to Nepal next week and do you know what? I’ll be wearing much the same. The Jeans will go to Superstriders for the trekking, and the Cityscape to Pinnacle Jacket…

Silver Fleece Zip baselayer, covered by PCM (Phase Change Material) Reactor Fleece midlayer. Then the fabulous Ratio Fleece (PCM again). And yes, PCM trousers, too.

Can we start a campaign to bring back PCM? The best stuff you have ever done!

Shovelling 12 inches of snow off driveway in NW Indiana, USA, 0.7 miles from Lake Michigan. 18 F wind gusting to 20 MPH, drifting snow.
Muztag zip, cooltrunks, Olfio, Superstriders, hiking socks. Non Rohan hat, gloves, boots.
Just the right warmth and protection without overheating during 2 hour workout with shovel!
Wearing Rohan since around ’85, lived in Yorkshire, discovered Long Preston, been warm, cool, comfortable ever since!

(non Rohan) fleece hat

and a pair of proper walking boots.

Yesterday I got so hot that I had to undo my jacket and fleece zips and take off my hat.

should have gone with Rohan gloves and some thermals – the hands were a bit cold! especially for photography!

I’m using my rohan even at home, with Core-T, fleece and trusty snowpack jacket to venture out
