Wild Vision John Beatty & Rohan

A message from John Beatty
“…and the snow is still falling…..The last ten days here in the Peak have enjoyed one of the longest freeze periods of the decade. For outdoor people this is heaven-sent, a time for hill walking and absorbing some of nature’s finest sights…and how great, it’s been a holiday period too! I’ve been out on the Derbyshire moors photographing amazing trees all hanging with chandeliers of ice…and our spectacular mountain hare population, boy do they know how to keep warm…they scrape small caves into the snowdrifts and huddle together! Unlike them, I’ve been keeping cosy in my Nightfall and Mountain Pass jackets.
It’s also been a good break for me in between my national lecture tour sponsored by Rohan. Autumn saw 12 theatres visited…just seven more to go at the end of January and early February. There are some great theatres yet to visit, like Buxton Opera House and, wow, Birmingham Town Hall. Taking the Rohan name around the country is such fun. At most of the venues local Rohan shop staff come along meet my audiences. Everyone is so enthusiastic and chatty… talking walking, talking great clothing. I hope you are able to come along and say hello too.
Well it’s out into the snow again…hope the kit is dry again after yesterday…it will be, it’s Rohan.
Happy New Year all Rohanists out there”.

Get to Brecon or Kendal if you can you will not be disappointed.
Great show at Kirkcaldy tonight. Pity there was no advance notice of a “Rohan Rail” in any pre-show flyers – it should have been set up well before the opening time to allow browsing.
Nice hare, or is it a wallaby?
