Tim Jasper Rohan 2009-2010

Dear All. Quite a year really. It was fantastic to have been able to run the Rohantime Events in The Lakes and Dunster and to meet so many Rohan people. You all had a great time if the feedback is anything to go by.
It was also an amazing experience to have run our first Rohan Trek with you, when 12 of us went to Iceland in August. For anyone who loves the outdoors, is not averse to the risk of crazy weather, then I say – go to Iceland, it’s a magical place!
From the business side of things, we all seem to be weathering the recession in reasonably good order. We have done a lot of work this year on positioning Rohan to grow in the coming years. There are a lot of
plans afoot. On the design side we have had a great year designing the 2010 ranges and – as I always tend to be – I’m very excited about the new things that are on the way. The emphasis of everything we’re doing now is properly-conceived, highly reliable, useful gear that will help you to enjoy whatever adventures you are planning for 2010.
Many thanks for all your support over the last year, best wishes for the season and here’s to a healthy, happy and exciting 2010.
Tim Jasper, Brand Director, Rohan.

Why does Rohan have such a poor selection of trousers for long-legged females? I take a 33 inch inside leg, so your bags are my only possibility as all your other trousers only go up to 31 inches. I fit happily into size 10 or 12 Long at most High Street shops, but your size 12 bags are very tight on the waist (even after I’ve moved the button) yet too large on the hips.
On the positive side the winter bags are lovely and warm, and the summer bags much cooler than jeans in hot weather. I would wear them more often if they were a better fit.
I have a ‘Taros’ shirt, which I think is great. I want something similar, so I recently tried a ‘Walker’ shirt and a ‘Walkabout’ shirt. Both these shirts have a really fat, bulky seam across the shoulder blades, making them quite uncomfortable, whereas the ‘Taros’ has a beautiful, tiny seam that you can’t feel. What’s going on? Which shirt can I get that is most like my lovely ‘Taros’?
