Beverley has just been granted the ‘Walkers are Welcome’ designation and join a group of other towns and villages that have something special to offer walker. ‘Walkers are Welcome’ is a national initiative which started in 2000 and now has over 100 member towns who promote walking activity and a warm welcome to walkers

To celebrate quite a few events are happening in Beverley for the Walking and Outdoor festival (centred around the Yorkshire Wolds), 14th – 23rd September. Market Weighton and Pocklington (both local towns) are already members.
