Ed is a freelance photographer based in Perth specialising in wildlife, landscapes and townscapes, with a keen passion for producing creative and fresh modern images of his surroundings. He is generally working outdoors every day of the week, so he needs clothes to be durable, comfortable and to protect him from the elements.
I like the practicality of Rohan garments, they are all well designed and ideal for my outdoor lifestyle”.
Ed has been snapping the world around him all his life and Rohan clothes also help him do his job on another level.
As a photographer I can’t have too many pockets for my gadgets so my Rohan Field Jacket is just what I need.”
What’s your favourite bit of Rohan gear?
My Rohan Bags. Comfortable, well designed, lots of pockets with zips. The best trousers I own”.
This summer has been very wet and my Cloudcover Jacket has been with me on my trips and has been unpacked a few times! I’m lucky to live in Perthshire with so many photographic opportunities. Living here really is a boon for my photography – both wildlife and landscapes.”
Ed has been a keen Rohanist since visiting the original shop in Long Preston whilst on a photo trip to Yorkshire.
My oldest Rohan clothes are a pair of Steppes Trousers that I can’t remember the age of. They must be at least twenty years old and they are still going strong!”
Having a shop in Perth now, has saved him travelling all the way to Edinburgh for his purchases.
With the shop opening in Perth I have a Rohan on my doorstep. I’ve used the Edinburgh shop but Rohan Perth is much more convenient”.
Ed will be exhibiting at the Edinburgh Fringe again this year.
This will be my fifth exhibition at the National Trust for Scotland’s property Gladstone’s Land and my third in the Fringe. The exhibition has been a real success and the Royal Mile during the Fringe is a great place to be – right at the heart of the Festival and really buzzing. Last year we had 1500 visitors in six days and we’re hoping to better that this year. It’s a friendly exhibition with popular wildlife, landscapes and pictures of Edinburgh and something for everyone to enjoy.
Here’s a quote from last year’s ‘FringeGuru’ – “This little gem is well worth a visit.” See for yourself from the 7th to 12th August at Gladstone’s Land on the Lawnmarket.
