Dear Kieran. Many thanks for the review. It’s much appreciated. Glad you are so pleased with your Pinnacle. Point taken about the Strata and the lack of zip together. An oversight, we now realise. We were very focussed on the purity of the Inner Flame as the definitive link garment – which is why it has no exterior pockets: it was very much designed as an liner. Though we’ve changed our minds now that so many people have commented on how it would be better as a jacket in its own right. So, watch this space for some improvements on this front later i the year. Many thanks again! Excuse any typos in this – I’m in Nepal at the moment and half the keys on the hotel computer don’t werk – I mean work… Best regards, Tim Jasper
Tim,
I purchased an Altitude Blue Pinnacle Jacket and to be perfectly honest, I love it. I always wear it and praise you for the striking colour. Everything about it is useful and I find the fit to be very good. I can see that alot of time and effort has gone into it and its main components work very effectivly. I do alot of skiing and wear the pinnacle and find it very useful.
On the other hand, I recently wanted to buy a garment for wearing underneath the jacket and the Strata was the ideal piece of clothing to wear. I then fell in love with this jacket and was told that it fits underneath the pinnacle perfectly, but decided not to purchase it as the inside zip on the pinnacle is useless for the strata as it cannot be zipped onto it. Then was introduced to the Inner Flame which I was told zips into the pinnacle, which I later tested and found that it does, although the inner flame is not as attractive, or warm as the strata and was astonished to find THERE WERE NO POCKETS?? But to be honest, I realise that I am complaining about the fact that it has no pockets on the outside and I want it to be zipped but it was so that the inner garment could be worn independantly if needed to be.
To conclude, I praise you for the excellent clothing that you have designed but would 100 times out of 100 chose the strata instead of the inner flame so would wonder why the strata also doesnt have a zip for attaching to the pinnacle just like the inner flame.
Many Thanks
Kieran
