Rohantime receives some fantastic stories from Rohanists all over the world. Stories of challenges, trips, holidays, expeditions in fact a fantastic range of stories of work rest and play. This one is new and different – A wedding.
I am a Rohan aficionado. I have been wearing your clothing for work (as a college lecturer / soil researcher), and for leisure (bagged the Wainwright’s, Snowdonia, and a lot of Munros) for years. It fits, it works, and it has longevity. My wardrobe is full of it (21 pairs of trousers, shirts, fleeces, shoes, a watch etc). My partner is much the same. We are a Rohan couple.
This Easter we got married, a discrete, private, small humanist ceremony in the most beautiful place in the British Isles. On the coast in the far NW of Scotland… We treated ourselves to new Rohan outfits for the ceremony. Top to tail.
Congratulations to Andy and Kim from Kendal for sharing the story of their wedding. Guess what the bride and groom wore?
This is their story…
We were married at Culkein Bay, Stoer, Lochinver, Sutherland, NW Scotland on the 11th April 2012. We had a humanist ceremony which allowed us select the exact location we could be married, and so we selected an amazing setting that we both love.
Rohan clothing came in handy as the wedding location, though beautiful, was exposed, and potentially a wedding in NW Scotland in April could have thrown all four seasons at us (as it happens we had a strong NW breeze but plenty of sun). We also wanted to have wedding outfits which were practical for the setting and that we could use for years to come.
As long time Rohan wearers we knew we would find the perfect outfits.
