Starting on Tuesday 7 May Rohan in Woodbridge will open from 0900-1700, six days a week, instead of 0930-1730.

Set on the Thoroughfare of historic Woodbridge Town, Rohan welcomes you to a beautiful tidal river and many historic sites and buildings, an area of great natural beauty, a vibrant town and a good walking area. Also, Rohan is the most dog friendly clothing shop in town! The Thoroughfare was recently voted one of the Top 10 High Streets in the UK according to The Times.
Visit the Rohan shop and meet Karen, Wendy, (Chief Judge of Dog with best coat Category in Woofbridge – a Bark in the Park on 22 September 2012), Maxeen, Alex, and Nick. We can kit you out for a Safari or an afternoon walking the dog and everything in between. We’ll give you honest advice and suggest the most appropriate clothing according to your needs.
Pop into the shop to see the latest releases from the Rohan stable and while you’re there check out the world map, maybe plan a trip or remember a past adventure.

Les Chocolats Belges (Karen’s favourite) purveyors of top notch chocolate Buttons.
Honey & Harvey an independent coffee shop opposite Rohan and a step up from the usual high street chains.
The Waterfront Café set by the historic Tide Mill and with magnificent views of the River Deben, great for a coffee or a light meal.
Sutton Hoo is just the other side of the Deben from the Tide Mill and can be reached by car or on foot. The 8th Century burial mound of King Redwald found on the eve of World War Two containing some stunning artefacts. A great visit for kids and adults alike. A pleasant walk from Woodbridge to Sutton Hoo along the banks of the River Deben.
Back in Woodbridge and in need of sustenance? Try the Old Bell and Steelyard on New Street or the Anchor at the bottom of Quay Street, opposite the railway station, both pubs are well run and friendly and have good beer and good food.

Woodbridge Regatta is on Sunday 14th July this year.
Historic Woodbridge comes to life on the waterfront with water craft of all sorts on display, visit the Tide Mill which was the last working tide mill in Britain until it closed in 1957. Now fabulously restored with many interactive displays to show how it worked.
What used to be the millpond is now the marina. During the Napoleonic wars the Grand Old Duke of York marched his men up and down the hill from their barracks on, not surprisingly, Old Barrack Road to the millpond from where they carried out target practice firing into Ferry Cliff over the river.
Numerous cafes and stalls will be along the waterfront for those in need of refreshment and several good walks start along the river wall. Head downstream to Kyson point and return to Woodbridge along the Cow Path or over Broom Heath or head upstream to Melton and beyond and if you’re going in that drection why not cross Wilford Bridge and walk up to Sutton Hoo to really go back in time.
So as not to distract you on the day Rohan in Woodbridge is closed on the Sunday but open on Saturday and Monday so make a weekend of it and pop in to see what is new in the store, talk to the staff and discuss what best suits your needs.

“My bag was smaller and lighter and my washing dried overnight, her bag was larger, heavier and her washing didn’t dry for 2-3 days. Rohan does what it says.” Said the happy customer leaving the store with another lightweight bargain to take on her next trip.

How old is the oldest piece of Rohan clothing you have that you still wear?
I have a Pampas Jacket purchased in October 1986 which I still wear from time to time and a Wild Vest from 1987.
I have colleagues younger than these pieces of clothing – not as useful either, now I come to think of it!
They don’t crease either – unlike colleagues I could mention! The colour rarely fades in Rohan garments.

Since the beginning we have been open 0930-1730 Monday to Saturday but this is GOING TO CHANGE.
On Bank Holiday Monday, 6th May, we will be open from 1000-1600 and thereafter we will be open from 0900-1700 six days a week, Monday to Saturday.
We hope that these times suit you, the customer, better and that we have fewer people waiting for us to open up.
