Last weekend I was in Dunster Village for Rohantime 09 Dunster Weekend.
The village is an amazing place. I didn’t think villages like Dunster still existed. Exquisite is the word that comes to mind. Fairytale, a feast for the eyes and ears it’s a quite calm place.
My time in Dunster was spent in the Rohan retail store. This is one of the biggest stores in Rohan’s shop collection. It’s the place to go to really enjoy the full benefits of the Rohan range. Space to try on all the range, space to sit and talk to the fantastic enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff and space to just understand what Rohan clothing is really all about.
The atmosphere in the shop and in the village is relaxed and welcoming. Next to the shop is a great cafe, thanks Cliff for all the coffee . The Tourist Information Centre and car parking is right next to the shop.
The picture above was taken in the Dunster shop after a very busy Saturday. The smiling faces are a mixture of Rohan Dunster & Rohan Retail support, a great team. In the centre of the picture is Richard manager of Rohan Dunster shop.
Reflection from Richard on the weekend…
“After many weeks of anticipation and preparation the 10th July was here, we all met at 8.30 for a final brief and bacon rolls in the staff room above the shop, and at 8.55 we trooped down stairs, would anyone be waiting? We need not have worried, from opening the doors that morning to closing them on Sunday the last day of the Dunster weekend; a constant stream of Rohan enthusiast came to the shop, all happy whatever the weather. I am proud of the way my staff conducted themselves over what was an extremely busy weekend, always with a smile and an eagerness to help, and would like to thank everyone from head office who made this weekend possible. Already I have had enquiries from people who missed this years event, as to who should they contact to book for next year, lets hope we can make this an annual event “.
My time at Dunster was well spent I made contact with many old and new Rohan customers we had some great conversations. Let’s do it all again soon.
Drop in and meet Richard and his team for a chat next time your in the area.
