The event is all about raising funds for good causes! The Artemis Charitable Foundation, the sponsor, is contributing a substantial amount to running the event in order to raise much needed funds for the chosen event charities. Artemis has nominated two charities to benefit from the 2011 Quadrathlon: Mercy Corps, an international development charity working in over 40 countries worldwide helping people to turn the crises of natural disaster, poverty and conflict into opportunities for progress will receive 80% of the funds. Mary’s Meals, an international movement to set up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education will receive 20% of the funds.
To secure the future of the event and hit fundraising target, each participant pledges to raise a minimum of £450 when they register for the Quadrathlon. Both charities have specific projects that the 2011 Quadrathlon funds will benefit.
