There are only two problems in life.
Either you don’t know what you want, or you know what you want, and don’t know how to get it. So there must be only two solutions, right? You either have to 1. Make it up or 2. Make it happen.
Making things happen is what we do all day long. Get the gear, buy the ticket, pack the bag, that sort of thing. Sometimes a little bit of inspiration to get things started would be nice. I tend to meet people who are right on the verge of something. Preparing for a trip is in itself a really creative part of the travelling process.
Whether you’re embarking on a great long-planned expedition or just short trip to the continent with an overnight bag, I love hearing about what they hope to do or see. That’s what I wanted to bring to our customers. That’s why I’ve organised the Rohan Harrogate Lectures.
I’ve found some great speakers, all of whom I’ve got to know through my time here; Deirdre Bounds, an entrepreneur, writer and TV presenter, Tim Ralph, a world class mountaineer and inspirational speaker, Colin Fisher, all round nice guy and Rohan’s Chairman, Gil Richardson, a fundraiser who has climbed the highest mountains in Europe and Andreas Helmer the mountain guide who took her and to start things off Sarah Howcroft the co-founder of Rohan, a true British innovator.
The Rohan Harrogate Lectures are about inspiration, just getting out and doing something different. Take a walk, build a company, make the world better or just a little bit more interesting for yourself. The speakers that we’re pleased to be joined by have done just that. Each has been inspired by their experiences and translated that into inspiring others.
The lectures are free but spaces are limited, to reserve your place please give us a call and we will take your details. The series of lectures will be held at Rohan, 21 Station Square, Harrogate, HG1 1SY, 01423 508766. The doors will be open from 6.00pm and the talks will start at 7.00pm drinks and nibbles will be provided.

There will be 15% off all purchases on the lecture evenings, although as it is going to be really busy it would be better to phone ahead and get the stuff you want set aside so you are not attempting to try things on during the good bit of the talk!
If you are travelling from further afield Harrogate has absolutely loads of great places to stay and to eat, come along make a short break of it. Wouldn’t that be nice.
