Surrey Wildlife Trust networking event for corporate supporters
Last week Surrey Wildlife Trust held an exclusive business networking and shopping event for local companies to thank them for their ongoing support. Co-sponsored and hosted by Rohan Guildford and local communications consultancy, Claire Dee Communications, the event attracted over 30 people who enjoyed drinks, nibbles and the chance to save 10% on all Rohan shop purchases.
Surrey Wildlife Trust is a registered charity and the only organisation concerned solely with the conservation of all forms of wildlife in Surrey. A number of local companies regularly give their time and money to assist the trust with its important conservation work ranging from taking part in staff teambuilding away-days, to donating tools and equipment and providing pro bono consultancy advice and services.
Ron Pritchard, chairman, Surrey Wildlife Trust, says:
“The event was a great success and the perfect way for Surrey Wildlife Trust to say thank you to its corporate supporters. During 2010 alone 351 volunteers from 15 companies took part in our teambuilding away-days helping preserve and enhance local habitats. They have also contributed towards minibuses, donated tools, given time and money and much, much more. Their help and support is vital to our work.”
Colin Greenwood, business relations executive, Surrey Wildlife Trust, adds:
“Local businesses are an integral part of the local community and play a vital role in supporting the work of the trust. With their help we are able to safeguard the county’s important wildlife and nature reserves ensuring many people can continue to enjoy Surrey’s beautiful natural environment.”
