The Sheffield Adventure Film Festival

water_splash The Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (http://www.shaff.co.uk/) is on this weekend (4-6 March) at The Showroom Cinema in Sheffield. Sixty two films, twenty two feature climbing and mountaineering. The films include award winners from Kendal, Banff, Graz, Trento, Telluride, Edinburgh, Vancouver, Llanberis and some that haven’t been screened yet. The programme is organised into blocks of films themed to suit your tastes. Simply watch as many blocks as you have the time for. There’s also a live music programme, a second hand kit sale, exhibitions, free sports massage, a down hill mountain bike race, Peaty’s Steel City Downhill Sheffield’s first ever downhill mountain bike race will take place on the Saturday. Urban Orienteering, the South Yorkshire Orienteers will be at the festival with maps for an urban course suitable for all ages. If all that is not enough you may catch up with Andy Kirkpatrick, Kenton Cool, Niall Grimes, Jerry Moffatt, Ron Fawcett and Lucy Creamer.
