Chef Peter Sidwell celebrates the Lakes on a Plate

Opposite Rohan in Keswick, Cumbrian chef and café owner, Peter Sidwell, is cooking up a storm with his Lakes on a Plate Channel4 TV Series.

In the first episode Peter grabs his walking boots and Rohan Pinnacle Jacket to follow in the footsteps of Alfred Wainwright, famed for his Lakeland guides.

The next eposide takes place at Yew Tree Farm, once owned by Beatrix Potter in the 1930s, Yew Tree farm featured as ‘Hill Top’ in the movie ‘Miss Potter’ starring Rene Zellweger.

During the week Peter travels to Little Salked water mill, Restored in 1975 Cumbria’s only fully operational watermill, still producing stone ground flour the traditional way, and learns all about its history and process.

In episode four Peter pays homage to William Wordsworth, and visits Grasmere and Dove Cottage the place William Wordsworth called home for nine years.
