ITV’s Walk4Life Day 2010
On Sunday 26th September, ITV’s Walk4Life Day is taking place. A series of nationwide events will see people everywhere putting their best foot forward on organised walks around the country.
The events will be open to everyone from experienced ramblers to first time walkers. Walk England, Natural England, Living Streets, Sustrans, Rambler’s, British Heart Foundation and many other organisations are all working with ITV to run 10 walks across England and Wales.
ITV’s Walk4life Day is part of ITV’s support for the Department of Health’s Change4Life campaign, a nationwide movement which aims to help us all eat well, move more and live longer. Change4Life brings together brings together local, commercial and governmental partners to help people all over the country understand the long-term health risks of a poor diet and sedentary lifestyle.
It’s the small and simple changes which can make a big difference. Walking is a great way to improve the general health of the whole family. It’s a feel-good exercise that’s good for the environment… and it’s completely free.
