Rohan Ambleside

April and May are always odd months, I remember starting the cricket season in sleet and snow… yet this April was a stunner. Soaring temperatures and clear skies made for some of the best walking conditions for many a spring.
To coincide with such weather the stores had a 20% promotion on waterproof and fleeces! Typical that the only thing you can predict about the British weather is its unpredictability.
Easter is always a great time in store to see some of the old classics, and I’m not talking about the customers. A few old Pampas jackets and a Mariner thrown in for good measure for those of you who remember such things.
As you can see from the above picture we took advantage of the weather to take a stroll over the top from Grasmere into Langdale, finishing the day off with a well deserved pint of Old Peculiar at the Old Dungeon Gyhll.
May is a busy month for us in the store as we have two bank holiday week-ends to prepare for and the launch of our May catalogue. As ever some new products to get us all excited but the best news for me is the return of an old and trusted friend – the Rohan Goa Top. Now this particular animal has had many incarnations, from the Movi, Trekker Pull-over, Backpacker Top – yet has always remained the same, a classic wind block old school overhead.
May will also see us losing Helen from our store, she has worked in our Ambleside store for a few years now but is moving on to pastures new with a job in Web Design – whatever that is. Good luck to her and thanks for all the work she has put in for us.
So until the next time hope to see you in store or on the fells.

Thank you very much for your comments Craig – it has been a pleasure to work with you and the rest of the team. And importantly of all it has been great selling such great products over the past few years. I hope Rohan keeps bringing out these clever ideas (which I,m sure with the great team at HO) they will do. As it is great kit for on the hill as well as travel.
Shall catch up with you all very soon!
Helen
